Children's House Co-Guide
Lake Country School
At Lake Country School, everything we do exists to protect and strengthen the relationship between a Guide and a child. As a Children's House Co-Guide, you share that relationship directly: partnering with another Co-Guide to prepare an authentic Montessori environment, observe and know each child, and give the precise, engaging presentations that let a child's independence and concentration grow.
In this role, you will co-teach a Children's House classroom alongside the other Co-Guide, sharing responsibility for the prepared environment, presentations, observation and record keeping, and the daily rhythm of the room. You will give Montessori presentations and know each child well enough to adjust the environment to what they need next.
If you are a trained Montessorian who finds real satisfaction in partnership rather than running a room alone, who leads through calm, consistent authority rather than control, and who is genuinely energized by observation and the slow, specific work of watching a child become more independent, we would love to hear from you.
About Lake Country SchoolLake Country School is a Montessori community serving students from toddler through eighth grade, with campuses in the Twin Cities and at our Land School. We are committed to authentic Montessori practice, a collaborative faculty and staff culture, strong family partnership, and a school community that reflects and welcomes a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
The RoleThis full-time, exempt position shares responsibility for a Children's House classroom in partnership with another Co-Guide.
