Your ImpactThe Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance) will perform physical labor at solar energy sites near Minneapolis, Minnesota. Candidates must live within 50 miles. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining solar power plants while adhering to safety and professional standards.
Core Responsibilities- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub‑Station equipment.
- Document work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency schedules.
- Provide troubleshooting for electrical components using multimeters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment.
- Test and ensure proper operation of installed solar equipment.
- Maintain safety, LOTO, and JHA compliance.
- Work both alone and in teams.
- Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per company policies.
- Possess a valid Journeyman Electrician License or higher (required).
- Preferred: 1+ year experience in commercial/industrial O&M on solar power plants.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and installation skills.
- Preferred experience with inverters, tracker systems, or sub‑station equipment.
- Initiative to elevate site issues.
- Ability to train, mentor, and develop apprentices.
- High work ethic and aptitude.
- Must reside approximately 50 miles of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Expose to outdoor ambient temperatures.
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- May work weekends, holidays, and be on call via telephone/text.
- Travel may be required up to 50% depending on company needs.
Base Pay Range: $30 USD – $42 USD.
