OverviewA position that is full-time, first shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. The role performs engine dyno, bench, and field testing along with R&D of new testing projects; includes engine dyno test program design, teardown reports, and customer communications at the manager’s discretion. The position may act as an unsupervised laboratory operator and perform other tasks within the Lube-Tech manufacturing process.
Responsibilities- Performs engine buildup, teardown, inspection, and troubleshooting
- Reports test results with conclusions to be conveyed to customers
- Photographs engine components
- Help assure mechanical test quality and repeatability
- Design and improve mechanical tests and equipment
- Utilize CAD to design testing fixtures
- Fabrication of test fixtures
- Generates and maintains test procedures
- Help evaluate and minimize mechanical testing costs
- Build, repair, and maintain facility and test equipment
- Performs quality control on incoming raw materials and assists blending candidate products as directed
- Occasionally perform non-test related assignments and travel for training or customer visits
- Perform additions and mixing of fuels, lubricants, coolants, and cleaners
- Generate parts supply lists and maintain inventory
- Generate test reports in PowerPoint and Excel for internal and external use
- Calibration of lab instrumentation
- Flexible work schedule
- BS Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent degree
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Self-motivated, punctual, deadline-conscious, urgency-aware
- Flexible schedule
- Knowledge of basic fabrication and machine tools
- Proficient with small engines, powersports engines, and dyno testing
- AutoCAD, Solid Works or similar experience
- Basic AC & DC electrical knowledge
- Physical lifting requirement: 75 lbs; ability to lift and move engines and fixtures
- High-speed rotating machinery and high-temperature equipment
- Exposure to fuels, exhaust gases, and high noise levels
- Specific safety hazards as described in job documentation
The anticipated hiring range for this role is between $78,945 and $90,000 annually. This range may increase based on factors including experience, education, market benchmarks, and internal equity.
