Overview

Role: Senior Executive Search Consultant - Covering the US Print Labels and Flexible Packaging markets

About the Role: We’re partnering with a top U.S.

-based packaging solutions provider to find a Flexible Packaging Engineer who can bring technical expertise and creativity to their R&D and packaging development team. This role focuses on flexible films, laminates, and pouch formats, helping the company design high-performance packaging that meets both consumer and sustainability demands.

Compensation

Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $/yr

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize flexible packaging formats (pouches, bags, films, laminates).
  • Evaluate materials, test barrier properties, and ensure seal integrity.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to solve packaging challenges.
  • Support form-fill-seal, lamination, and extrusion processes with technical guidance.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant regulatory and quality standards (FDA, ISO).
  • Document specifications, test results, and development processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of flexible packaging experience (films, laminates, pouches).
  • Hands-on experience with FFS equipment, lamination, and heat sealing.
  • Familiarity with barrier testing, tensile strength, and packaging material selection.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with sustainable or recyclable materials.
  • Knowledge of CAD or 3D design software for packaging prototypes.
  • Exposure to food, beverage, or pharmaceutical packaging.
