Engineering Manager

Sky Water is partnering with a client in Minneapolis to find an Engineering Manager for their team! The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading a team of 2 engineers while also digging into hands-on engineering projects. This person will have a seat on the management team and will report directly to the company President to help achieve strategic initiatives for the organization.

• Manage a team of 2 direct-reports and distribute projects & responsibilities to team members.
• Work with cross-functional teams and company leadership on strategic initiatives.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and look for areas for process improvement & cost-savings.
• Lead design projects and work on new product designs as well as redesigning existing product lines.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and industry knowledge.
• Other projects or responsibilities as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in a mechanical, design, or similar engineering role (or combination of roles).
• 2+ years of experience leading or managing engineers (directly or indirectly).
• Experience with Solid Works, sheet metal design and/or electrical circuits a plus.
