Develop cost‑effective control systems for custom machinery and support continuous improvement across the automation industry.

• Technical Responsibilities
  • Design and program PLC control systems, including hardware design, safety analysis, and technical documentation.
  • Identify technical challenges and devise creative solutions.
  • Coordinate with shop personnel during electrical assembly of control systems and machines.
  • Participate in control system debug, on‑site installation, and customer training.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least two years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive experience with PLC programming on a variety of platforms.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation Control Logix controllers.
• Familiarity with IEC 61131‑3 programming languages (Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Structured Text, Sequential Function Charts, Instruction List).
• Basic experience with servo‑based motion control systems.
• Proficiency in preparing engineering documentation such as electrical schematics, bills of material, process & instrumentation diagrams, and operator/maintenance manuals.
• Basic understanding of computer networking, TCP/IP, and industrial fieldbus architectures (e.g., Ethernet IP).
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex electrical and logical systems.
• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.

• Knowledge of industrial machinery standards (NFPA 79, UL 508A, NEC, EN ISO 13849, IEC/EN 62061).
• Experience configuring and programming industrial robots.
• Familiarity with modular programming concepts (ISA‑88, PackML).
• Experience with vision system configuration and programming.
• Proficiency in an electrical CAD program (e.g., Solid Works Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, ePlan).
• Programming skills in high‑level languages (C, C#, Python) or relational databases.
• Exposure to GAMP principles and procedures.
• Strong design capability for electrical control systems, including power distribution, PLC configuration, and machine safety.

Salary range: $85,000 – $100,000 per year.
