Job Description
Job Purpose
The role focuses on developing products, materials, processes, or equipment for projects of moderate complexity. Under limited supervision, this position compiles, analyzes, and reports operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified products, processes, and materials.
Key Responsibilities- Participate fully and contribute effectively to project teams, including:
- Process design and development
- Preparation of specifications
- Process capability studies
- Report preparation
- Independently plan and schedule activities to meet project timelines.
- Design and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments.
- Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot new product and process issues related to design, materials, or processes.
- Summarize, analyze, and draw conclusions from test results.
- Prepare standard reports and documentation to communicate results to the technical community.
- Maintain responsibility for engineering documentation.
- Invent and develop concepts and designs for new products or processes; submit idea disclosures.
- Provide training or work direction to technicians as needed.
- Collaborate with R&D, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing teams to ensure project success.
- Demonstrate PDP/TPD system knowledge through delivery of high‑quality project deliverables.
Build quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with all applicable quality requirements.
Qualifications- Experience:
- 2–4 years with a BS degree
- 0–2 years with an MS degree
- Degree Areas: Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or Biomedical Engineering
- Candidates must demonstrate competency in current systems they have used.
- Experience with Windchill
- Strong problem‑solving abilities
- Initiative and willingness to take on new challenges
- Potential contract‑to‑hire for the right individual, depending on budget and headcount
- Team structure:
- Core team of ~10
- Larger group of ~20
- Project teams typically around 10 people
- Interviews conducted via Microsoft Teams
- Work hours:
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM - Pay rate:
Up to $46.50 per hour
