Your OpportunityStantec is seeking one or morecreativeandmotivatedinterns to support our Urban Mobility Planning Group in Minneapolis, Minnesota or Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Preferred candidates will have apassion fortransportationplanningwith a background in planning, engineering, landscape architecture, or urban design. Candidates must be willing totravel and will ideally have a valid driver’s license.
The ideal candidate will be experienced or interested in the development of client-facing materials,facilitating meetings, and management of internal resources. Technical experience with at least one of these key software programs is also a requirement:
ArcGIS,Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Micro Station, and/or Sketch Up.Above all, the successful candidate will be organized, self-motivated and curious, have a friendly, professional demeanor, and be able to multitask, ask questions, and learn from feedback. Position(s) will be full-time during the summer months, and flexible for part-time work during school semester(s).
Key Responsibilities
- Assistin the development of system-leveltransportationplans or corridor studies
- Assist with facilitation of public outreach events
- Assist with entry level planning &/or design duties, as needed
- Report editing in Word or Adobe In Design
- Conceptual site design and graphics development with Adobe Illustrator
- Technical writing, and summary of project-record notes/files
- Tabular data analysis and summary reporting
- Map creation or data analysis with ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Online
