About

The Role

Client Specialists are the first line of contact at all Barry’s studios. They are well‑versed in all aspects of our business, comply with company policies, procedures, and directives, and build lasting client relationships by providing superior hospitality. They assist clients with class selections, bookings, questions, maintain a clean studio, place Fuel Bar orders, and process merchandise purchases. Excellent communication and positive brand ambassadorship are essential.

This position encompasses Front Desk, Facilities, and Fuel Bar responsibilities.

What You’ll Do Front Desk Responsibilities
  • Client Experience — Understanding hospitality principles & processes and executing as part of the Barry’s Client Experience.
  • Support the client experience with hospitality and studio amenities to build personalized experiences aiming for positive sales and service impact.
  • Be an effective brand ambassador, warmly welcoming and assisting clients, ensuring a memorable experience aligned with the Barry’s brand.
  • Establish and maintain constructive interpersonal relationships with clients and staff.
  • Communicate with supervisors and peers via phone, e‑mail, text, or in person in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Deliver a first‑class client experience at all times.
  • Ensure a clean and welcoming atmosphere by assisting in studio cleaning, restocking, and upkeep as needed.
  • Guide clients regarding studio promotions, membership discounts, and special events.
  • Maintain product knowledge for all retail operations and participate in relevant training and development programs.
  • Have flexibility with schedule, including weekends, holidays, morning or night shifts, and meet minimum availability requirements.
Fuel Bar Responsibilities
  • Deliver quality protein smoothies and customer service.
  • Handle pre‑orders and on‑spot orders tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Assist clients with questions and product selection.
  • Complete client orders in a timely manner utilizing POS transactions.
  • Maintain fuel bar department areas clean and sanitized.
  • Follow departmental procedures for safety, proper food handling, and sanitation per local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Properly rotate merchandise in refrigerated coolers, paying attention to spoilage according to company policy.
  • Prepare various fuel bar goods following company recipes.
Facility Maintenance
  • Prepare studio spaces before, after, and in‑between classes by cleaning equipment, sweeping, mopping or vacuuming floors, and wiping mirrors.
  • Support cleaning and maintenance of locker rooms to brand standard.
  • Perform regular deep cleaning, organization, and servicing of common areas (lobby, Fuel Bar, Red Room/Lift/Ride spaces, retail shelves, locker rooms, hallways, storage areas).
  • Conduct small studio repairs when appropriate.
  • Handle laundry services, including collecting, washing, and folding towels.
  • Adhere to daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance checklists.
Customer Service
  • Ensure all existing and new clients receive the highest level of hospitality.
