Customer Service Rep, Event Manager / Planner
Warming Room Attendants interact daily with park patrons of the Warming Room and Ice Skating/Hockey/Broomball Rink. It is an excellent opportunity for people who enjoy working with the public and the winter weather in Minnesota.
Positions are open at the following parks:
- Van Cleve
- Windom Northeast
Under general supervision, Warming Room Attendants are responsible for:
- Providing overall supervision of the warming room and skating area, ensuring a safe, friendly environment
- Providing first aid as needed
- Preparing required reports
- General, light cleaning of Warming Room area
- Some snow removal, as and when needed
- Assisting the public when needed
- Be 16 years of age or older
- Have the ability to make good judgments in a wide variety of situations
- Be able to effectively work with the general public and supervisor
- Be capable of carrying out written and oral instructions
Pay rate is $/hour depending on qualifications and experience.
You are eligible to receive sick and safe time per the Minneapolis City Ordinance and Minnesota Earned Sick and Safe Time, and will earn one (1) hour of sick and safe leave for every thirty (30) hours worked. Public employees will be enrolled in statutorily required Public Employers Retirement Association (PERA) pension contributions if/when eligible. This position is not eligible for other benefits.
HoursWarming Room Attendant hours will vary per week, as few as 10 hours a week and as many as 38 available. December through mid-February.

Park Board AnnouncementsRec Plus morning programs are cancelled, on Jan 8 and Jan 9. Rec Plus will be open for current families from 2-6pm on Jan 8 and Jan 9 at these select sites:
Lynnhurst, Webber, McRae, Hiawatha School, andite
