We are partnering with a market leading, multi-site food manufacturer and distributor to hire a high energy, hands-on leader for the newly created role of Director of Finance Transformation. This is an opportunity to partner with executive leadership to modernize systems, streamline processes, and build a scalable, best-in-class finance function that fuels growth and value creation initiatives.

The Director of Finance Transformation is a high-impact role, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This leader will design and execute initiatives that standardize and modernize finance processes to drive efficiency and scalability. The role requires partnering with leaders across the organization to support growth strategy and future-state vision, from plan development through execution, and change management, to the implementation of targets/metrics to track progress.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of the finance and accounting function, strong financial acumen and modeling skills, a track record of leading transformation, and the leadership presence to influence at all levels of the organization. Ability to succeed in a dynamic environment is required.

• Business Partnering and Transformation Planning:
  Partner with senior management and business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement (including revenue growth, cost structure optimization, and operational efficiencies), quantify value creation opportunities, and develop short- and long-term transformation plans and roadmaps.
• Define the finance technology strategy, identifying automation and integration opportunities and outlining required resources for successful implementation.

• Assess core finance processes, systems, and organizational structure to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve performance.
• Evaluate current KPIs and establish metrics to drive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Lead finance transformation initiatives, including impact analysis, business readiness assessments, and management of risks, timelines, and deliverables.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive change management plan, including communication strategies, to ensure smooth adoption and sustainable transformation across the organization.
• Proactively communicate progress, risks, and challenges related to transformation initiatives to key stakeholders and executive leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or CMA designation, or equivalent experience (including a blend of industry and public accounting).
• 7-10 years of experience in a similar role with demonstrated success in driving transformation, improving processes, mentoring teams, and upgrading talent.
• Experience in middle-market, private equity-backed manufacturing or industrial companies preferred.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in developing business-driven financial analysis and recommendations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems and strong Microsoft Office skills.
