Overview
FY26 Seasonal Tax-FSO- GCR Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory-Real Estate-Senior Manager role ation:
Anywhere in the country (New York or Remote – Seasonal Tax Senior Manager-Real Estate).
EY serves high-profile, national and multinational clients, providing domestic and international transactional tax planning services and tax-related advisory services. The Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice supports companies with all aspects of financial reporting for income taxes, including tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and controls design and testing. The TARAS practice has been serving the global tax reporting needs of clients for about ten years.
Responsibilities- Provide tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions from US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts).
- Assist companies with all aspects of their tax provision preparation.
- Review the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy, enhance the control environment, and assess tax risk and control environments including considerations beyond Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
- Tax accounting projects and consulting
- Real estate experience a plus
- Tax provision preparation/review and related processes
- Process and controls enhancement
- Identification, prioritization, monitoring and remediation of key risks
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred
- Valid US CPA license or active state bar membership
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS
- Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- ASC 740, Real Estate, and/or IAS 12 experience
- Experience in corporate tax planning and compliance; broad exposure to federal income taxation
Strong tax and tax accounting knowledge, ability to work with and motivate teams, capability to manage large engagements, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues.
