Principal Actuarial Analyst – Reinsurance | Fully Onsite

Explore opportunities at all levels across Actuarial, Finance, and Project Management. This role reports to the Vice President of Reinsurance.
What You Do- Support preparing reinsurance pricing models and performing analysis for flow and block reinsurance transactions.
- Enhance processes by developing and automating tools to be used at various stages of pricing and analysis.
- Perform sensitivity analysis and product feature testing; summarize and communicate findings in a precise and organized manner to the broader team.
- Support due diligence process including actuarial appraisals, experience studies, seriatim data, etc., contributing to the preparation of presentations and reports.
- Lead or support modeling and analysis in more technical and complex projects.
- Support reinsurance audit.
- Continuously challenge the status quo and stay abreast of regulatory changes that will affect reinsurance decisions.
- Liaise with broader actuarial function, including actuarial pricing, product development and valuation teams.
- Peer review team members’ work.
- Demonstrate a continued desire to learn and develop as a key member of the team.
- Other ad‑hoc tasks as they arise.
- Utilize artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g., generative AI).
- Four‑year degree in actuarial science, math, physics, economics, engineering, or related field.
- 4+ SOA exams passed.
- 4+ years relevant experience working directly for a life/annuity (re) insurance company or consulting firm.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, VBA; experience programming in SQL, R preferred.
- Experience in annuity product development/pricing, AAT, P is a plus.
- Experience in reinsurance preferred.
- Broad business acumen, ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously.
- High adaptability and agility in a dynamic environment, willingness to be available outside standard work hours when necessary.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
Job posting range: $112,001 - $134,000. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive program. Final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, competencies, and/or education, as well as internal equity.
