Director of Finance – Hyatt Regency Minneapolis
Salary range: $115,100–$150,000.
Hyatt Regency Minneapolis seeks a Finance Business Partner/Director of Finance who embraces agile principles and collaborates cross‑functionally to implement strategic financial strategies aligned with business objectives. The role reports to the General Manager and drives financial decision making and planning to achieve profitability.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements. Investigate variance explanations, involve department managers, identify improvement areas, and execute corrective measures.
- Manage hotel accounting functions: timely and accurate reporting, financial and capital planning, budgeting, month‑end close, accounting, and cash management.
- Lead development and implementation of the annual business plan aligned with business objectives.
- Complete year‑end processes: review and approve reconciliations and audit work papers, coordinate external audits, and reconcile audited reports.
- Ensure adherence to HMA terms, policies, internal controls, segregation of duties, and SOX compliance.
- Mentor and coach the finance team; support leadership development and empowerment with financial insights.
- Collaborate with management to devise and implement strategic initiatives for cost efficiency and revenue enhancement without compromising core values.
- Nurture relationships with owners’ representatives and key stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and deliverables.
- Embody a growth mindset, embrace change, and drive value to stakeholders.
- 6+ years finance career progression; preferred experience in hospitality, retail, or related industry.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, Business or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people of diverse cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with centralized accounting systems required.
