The Senior Property Accountant will oversee accounting and financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of Class‑A industrial and commercial properties across multiple markets. This role ensures accurate and timely financials, leads continuous process improvements, and partners closely with property management and asset management teams to support strategic decision‑making. Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000 Benefits: Comprehensive benefit offerings provided directly by the client, including medical, dental, vision, retirement benefits, paid time off, and additional employee programs.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead month‑end and year‑end close for assigned property portfolio, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements and ad‑hoc reporting to the Controller and Asset Management team.
- Oversee property budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure accurate CAM reconciliations, escrow analyses, and annual reporting.
- Maintain general ledgers and property‑level financial accuracy across multiple markets.
- Partner closely with property management and asset management to support operational and financial decision‑making.
- Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, reporting timeliness, and data quality.
- Support external audits, tax preparation, and lender reporting requirements.
- Assist with onboarding new assets and ensuring proper accounting setup.
- Contribute to a culture grounded in integrity, teamwork, and community‑minded development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–3+ years of experience in property accounting or real‑estate accounting.
- Strong understanding of CAM, GL maintenance, financial reporting, and month‑end close processes.
