Overview
As an AVP, you will provide actuarial reinsurance pricing and dynamic portfolio optimization support for our clients and prospects.
Account Analysis & SupportPerform actuarial analysis to develop a loss model for client business, estimate reinsurance pricing, and determine optimal reinsurance structures given client risk profile and underwriting strategy. Present analyses in clear terms appropriate to the audience. Provide value‑added service to clients as needed.
Market Research and DevelopmentAssist in market and line of business studies to qualify Gallagher Re as a thought leader in reinsurance and primary marketplace. Work closely with other analytical associates across Gallagher Re, including other actuaries, catastrophe modelers, rating agency advisory, ERM and capital markets associates.
Problem SolvingApply advanced mathematical / actuarial concepts and techniques. Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and other software, as well as R and Python. Seek appropriate data needed for analysis, consider issues in depth, find effective, creative solutions, apply a high standard of quality control, and seek assistance or support as appropriate.
Interpersonal & Communication SkillsBuild strong working relationships with brokers and clients. Demonstrate good listening skills, exhibit a positive attitude, and clearly explain technical concepts in appropriate detail.
About YouRequired: Bachelor’s degree; 3 years related experience.
Desired: ACAS or FCAS.
