Sky Water is seeking a strategic finance leader for a top-tier financial institution in Minneapolis, MN. Reporting to the CFO, you will play a crucial role in guiding the organization’s financial strategy, decision‑making, and performance. This SVP position leads and contributes to the financial analysis, modeling, and investment evaluation to drive business growth and maximize stakeholder value.

In this newly created strategic finance role, you will work closely with senior management and the board of directors to provide actionable financial insights, ensure alignment with organizational goals, and lead financial processes that promote cross‑functional collaboration within the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of financial strategy across Treasury and Controller functions to maximize stakeholder value.
  • Advise senior leadership and the board with financial insights, sensitivities, and strategic recommendations.
  • Oversee financial policies and frameworks that improve decision‑making and operational efficiency.
  • Direct long‑ and short‑term planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Analyze financial performance, KPIs, and industry trends to identify risks, variances, and opportunities.
  • Develop scenario analyses and evaluate capital structure and financing strategies to support growth.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for executives and the board.
  • Drive cross‑functional financial planning and foster collaboration across the organization.
  • Partner with internal teams to assess initiatives and quantify financial impact using data‑driven approaches.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the finance team while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Desired Skills And Experience
  • 15+ years in finance leadership roles with FP&A, treasury, or capital management experience.
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling, scenario planning, and data‑driven decision making.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts to boards, executives, and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing and developing teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Preferred: CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent credentials.
