Manager of Tax Services; CPA)

DSG Capital Advisors is creating an in-house tax practice to provide clients a fully integrated multi-family office tax planning experience. We're looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial-minded CPA to help build the tax services offering. Our clients include highly successful business owners, high-net-worth families and inheritors with tax planning and compliance needs including complex 1040s as well as partnerships, S corporations, trusts and estates.

As the Manager of Tax Services, you will have a say in all aspects of our tax services offering.

This position is designed for someone who wants to have direct involvement in how our tax planning and tax compliance services are offered and performed. You'll set up the workflows, help select the technology, and lead the practice as it grows. And because we serve a very limited number of families by design, you'll have the time to truly understand and assist clients rather than simply getting through as many returns as possible.

• Help build the tax practice from the ground up, including overseeing team members, providing mentorship, organizing workflows and technology, establishing client service standards
• Prepare, review, and sign complex individual (1040), partnership (1065), S corporation (1120-S), fiduciary (1041), gift (709) and estate (706) returns
• Deliver proactive, year-round tax planning and structuring advice to business owners and high-net-worth families
• Participate in new client meetings and calls to provide an overview of the tax services offering
• Collaborate with our team and clients' estate attorneys on planning that spans investments, entities, and multi-generations
• Serve as the primary tax contact for client families, building long-term relationships and trust
• Have a say in selecting and implementing tax software and automation tools
• Hire and lead support staff as the practice grows

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Active CPA license
• 7+ years of recent progressive tax compliance and planning experience in public accounting
• Proven expertise preparing and reviewing complex 1065, 1120-S, 1041, and high-net-worth 1040 returns with multistate filings
• Experience preparing and reviewing trust, estate and gift returns
• Comfortable working directly with clients and coordinating with attorneys and other advisors
• Experience with professional tax software and tax automation tools
• An entrepreneurial mindset and the desire to build something unique
