About This PositionThe Emergency Department (ED) Technician collaborates with the care team to deliver quality care across all age groups, from neonates to older adults. Responsibilities include supporting nursing tasks, performing technical procedures, and communicating status to the healthcare team. Compliance with Minnesota Board of Nursing and national EMT standards is essential.
Requirements Education- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Completion of a national or Minnesota EMT certification exam
- 1 year of recent ED or EMT experience, or two years of emergency responder experience in lieu of EMT certification
- 1 year of recent ED or EMT experience, or two years of emergency responder experience in lieu of EMT certification
- Proficient oral and written English sufficient to perform essential job functions
- Basic computer operations skill
- EMT Certification (NMHC Standard)
- BLS Certification (NMHC Standard)
