Laboratory Assistant

Center for Reproductive Medicine is a premier medical practice specializing in the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of infertility, providing each patient “every conceivable chance for success.”Our Minneapolis
state-of-the-art laboratory is currently seeking two (2)
part-time Laboratory Assistants to work alongside our Andrology and Embryology teams.

Following training, you will be scheduled to rotate between Andrology and Embryology departments.

• Check in patients at department front desk
• Schedule appointments
• Answer andrology phones
• Process related paperwork
• Potential to serve as backup phlebotomist

• Set-up and assist the physician during egg retrieval procedures
• Autoclave instruments
• Quality control of lab supplies and equipment

• 20 – 24 hours per week
• 7:00 – 11:00 am or 11:30 am – 3:30 pm; willing to work with school schedule when necessary
• Every 3 rd weekend rotation working 7:00 – 11:00 am once fully trained

• Some college courses in biological or health sciences or medical technologist/medical laboratory science focus preferred
• At least 1 year experience in a healthcare setting
• Previous/current phlebotomy skills and experience highly desired, but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic environment and handle multiple tasks with a detail oriented approach
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Desire and ability to thrive in a team environment
