ON‑CALL Banquet Bartender – Delta Hotels by Marriott Minneapolis Northeast
LocationDelta Hotels by Marriott Minneapolis Northeast, Minneapolis, MN
SalaryUS $15.97 per hour
Essential Functions- Set up bar according to BEO requirements and ensure it is fully stocked with the tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests.
- Greet guests; take beverage orders, mix drinks, and other bar beverages as ordered in compliance with hotel standards.
- Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
- Complete side work checklist sheet from beginning to end of shift.
- Ensure service areas are safe by transporting items in the appropriate manner and by attending immediately to spills and breakage.
- Place bottled goods and glasses to create an attractive display.
- Gather all necessary bar supplies, spirits, garnishments, and bar utensil items needed to properly set up a banquet bar according to the BEO.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of beverage products and upsell to guests.
- Responsible for tearing down the bar and returning supplies to the appropriate location after the event.
- Be alert of upcoming events and groups. Review upcoming assigned work functions and BEO’s.
- At the conclusion of an event, ensure all equipment and supplies are returned to their proper location and neatly stored. Ensure bottles are properly sealed when stored.
- Removal of trash is disposed of properly.
- Maintain an accurate cash bank and follow established cash handling policies.
- Must adhere to all federal, state, and hotel liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.
Job Requirements
- Prior bartending experience of at least one (1) year required.
- High school or equivalent education required.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations in regards to serving alcohol.
- Must be friendly, personable, organized, and able to multi‑task.
- Must have knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
- Must be available to work ON‑CALL weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to work under pressure and also work in long or break shifts.
- Strong knowledge of drink preparation.
