The Guest Service Associate/Valet

Responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. Handles parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely and assists guests with luggage, including delivery and pick up during arrival and departure.

Job Details Valet Drivers - Minneapolis Marriott Starting pay $15 - $16 per hour plus cash tips daily No experience needed Weekends, 2nd shift.

Compensation

Towne Park offers competitive, fair compensation. The hourly base pay ranges from $15 to $16, plus $5 to $9 in tips. Compensation may vary based on job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.

Work Schedule

Weekend shifts, evenings until midnight.

Benefits

Eligible employees may enroll in accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, and the company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for these benefits. Eligibility depends on classification, length of employment, and hours worked.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients. Use guest last names during interactions. Employ proper phone etiquette. Park and retrieve vehicles carefully. Assist with bell services and luggage storage. Provide directions, reservations, and other inquiries. Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities. Follow parking rates and retrieval procedures, complete ticket information accurately, and calculate revenue when appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
  • High school diploma or GED.
Licensure & Certification
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or a commutable distance from the state.
Work Experience
  • One month related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge
  • Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Skills
  • Read and write standard English.
  • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Write simple correspondence.
  • Present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group settings.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide three‑digit numbers; perform operations with units of American money.
  • Understand 24‑hour and military time systems.
  • Understand rates applicable to time passed.
  • Operate a manual transmission (highly desirable).
  • Perform parallel parking.
SCOPE Authority to Act
  • Job is fairly routine; operates with established practices and procedures. Decisions made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines.
Budget Responsibility
  • Control over employee resources only.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Successful performance requires talking or hearing, sitting or standing for extended periods, running, walking, handling objects, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Physical Requirements

Lifting: up to 100 pounds occasionally; up to 50 pounds frequently; up to 20 pounds constantly.

Working Environment

Work predominantly outdoors for extended periods, exposed to extreme heat and cold. Weather protection may be provided.

Travel

Up to 5% travel required.
