The Director of People & Culture will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the People & Culture (P&C) department, ensuring implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy and legal compliance. The Director is responsible for quality, productivity standards, goal attainment, recruitment, engagement & organizational culture, retention, and ongoing development of a high performing workforce.
This role is responsible for achieving organizational outcomes through leading the HR team and ensuring the seamless design, development, and execution of HR programs, ensuring a seamless and positive experience at every stage.

Salary Range$150-200K base + bonus up to 25% of base salary

- Collaborates with executive leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Leads the design and execution of policies, processes, and initiatives that advance the organization’s people and culture strategy, including surveys and programs that drive engagement, change management, and organizational effectiveness ensuring consistent delivery of HR services and strong stakeholder partnerships to create solutions that work to support our mission.
- Oversee all people and culture programs and functions, including compensation, benefits, leave, employee relations, investigations, performance and talent management, workforce planning, training and development, recognition, and occupational health and safety.
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS).
- Leads discussions on people strategies, helping leaders identify talent needs and build robust pipelines aligned with business objectives.
- Coaches and empowers leaders and people & culture team to strengthen leadership capabilities and foster a culture of continuous development, coaching, and engagement.
- Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to executive management.
- Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for staff.
- Partners with the Learning & Development Director to ensure training programs and systems comply with industry regulations and organizational standards.
- Oversees change management strategies to support organizational transformation and ensure smooth adoption of new processes and programs.
- Monitors and measures the impact of HR initiatives through metrics and scorecards, driving continuous improvement.
- Manages strategic relationships with external partners, vendors, and consultants to ensure best-in-class, cost-effective solutions that support organizational goals.
- Requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to 10 years in human resources, with HR experience.
- 5+ years of team leadership with proven success in driving engagement and managing organizational change.
- Demonstrated success in building and developing engaged and high performing HR teams.
- Expertise in HR program design, implementation, and change management.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder management, coaching, and influencing change.
- Master’s degree
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification
- Change management certification
- Experience in healthcare or complex, highly regulated environments
