Vaco is hiring for a Bilingual Human Resources Manager in Minneapolis, MN. Direct Hire, Onsite. Salary: 70-90,000/yr.
Human Resources ManagerThe Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions, including staffing, policy and program administration, employee onboarding, training, payroll, benefits, and regulatory compliance. This role partners closely with senior leadership and staff across the organization to foster a results-driven, collaborative, and engaging work environment.
Core Responsibilities- Partner with department supervisors and management across production and retail operations to assess and plan staffing needs.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes for new hires.
- Identify training and development needs; coordinate and facilitate training programs for managers and employees.
- Conduct Worker Protection and safety training; facilitate safety meetings in collaboration with the safety team.
- Maintain OSHA records and ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and update job descriptions, employee handbook, and HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, FLSA, COBRA, FMLA, ACA, INA, and OSHA.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files.
- Oversee payroll processing and administration.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including renewals and open enrollment meetings; ensure employee understanding and satisfaction.
- Compile and maintain census data for 1095 reporting.
- Address employee relations matters, including conducting investigations, resolving issues, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Coordinate company events and initiatives that promote employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
- Continuously evaluate and improve HR policies, processes, and procedures.
- Perform additional HR-related projects and duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Bilingual English/Spanish or conversational Spanish preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong planning and organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Additional competencies may be defined by the direct supervisor or manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of progressive HR management experience.
- At least 2 years of HR Generalist experience.
- At least 2 years of recruiting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in the horticulture industry is a plus.
