The Human Resources Generalist supports the HR department by executing a wide range of HR operations and initiatives across the employee lifecycle. This role is responsible for facilitating key processes such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and benefits administration. The HR Generalist ensures smooth day-to-day HR functions while delivering a high-quality experience for employees. As a key partner to both employees and leadership, this role helps ensure that HR practices align with the company’s values, culture, and strategic goals.
You’llbe:
- Onboarding
- Delivering corporate new hire induction presentations.
- Preparing and collecting new hire paperwork, assigning training, and ensuring new employees are properly enrolled in benefits.
- Providing building and office tours, delivering a joyful and welcoming first-day experience.
- Sending welcome packages and catalogs to remote employees prior to their start date.
- Offboarding
- Scheduling and conducting exit interviews, ensuring all required compliance documents are delivered.
- Coordinating with IT and management to retrieve company equipment and close accounts as needed.
- Benefits Administration
- Assisting with new hire and annual benefits enrollment, qualifying life event changes, and the distribution of employee education materials.
- Serving as a participant on the Wellness Committee, supporting initiatives that drive engagement and foster a positive workplace culture.
- HRIS & Data Entry
- Accurately entering and maintaining employee data including new hires, promotions, compensation changes, and terminations across all HR systems.
- Payroll Coordination
- Liaising with Payroll to ensure accurate, timely processing of confidential employee information and changes.
- Compliance & Employee Relations
- Ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
- Maintaining complete, confidential, and compliant employee records.
- Supporting internal audits and compliance reporting.
- Responding to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Assisting with employee relations matters, including policy training, investigations, and documentation.
- Tracking leaves of absence and ensuring appropriate documentation and communication.
- Recruitment Support
- Assisting with the recruitment process, including posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communication.
- Special Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Assisting in the planning and execution of special HR projects as needed.
- Staying informed on current trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in HR, talent management, and employment law.
- Additional Duties
- Performing other related duties as assigned to support the goals and needs of the department and organization.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of progressive HR generalist experience with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects/work initiatives at one time, adapt to changes, and consistently meet deadlines.
- A genuine team player who is flexible, positive, and enjoys building professional relationships.

- Proven expertise in managing complex employee relations matters with professionalism and care.
- Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems and Microsoft Office, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
