We are seeking a highly experienced Hogan Consultant to support hands-on development, testing, and application design within core banking systems.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Hogan applications and mainframe technologies, with a strong ability to troubleshoot, design, and implement complex solutions in a financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on development, testing, and application design activities.
- Work extensively with Hogan applications including Deposits (DDA & TDA), RPM, CIS, Umbrella, PAS, ODS, and CAMS.
- Utilize Hogan process dictionary components and PCDs for conversions, development, and release implementations.
- Perform coding using CICS/VSAM, IMS/DB2, COBOL II, Easytrieve, JCL, and MVS.
- Manage JCL programming, testing, conversion monitoring, and verification.
- Enhance front-end support methodologies for Business Analysts.
- Design, install, test, and document complex application software.
- Contribute to technical architecture design and delivery.
- Apply software development lifecycle methodologies and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Hogan-related issues in both online and batch environments.
- Extensive experience with Hogan Core Banking Applications.
- Strong knowledge of Hogan components including Umbrella, PEM, CDMF, Librarian, Logical Environments, and Hogan Abend identification.
- Proficiency in mainframe programming languages and tools:
- Languages:
COBOL, VSAM, JCL - Tools:
Easytrieve, SORT Utilities, ICTOOL - Experience with source management tools such as Expeditor, Endeavor, and/or Changeman.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in software design, development, and implementation in financial environments.
- Experience in IT strategy and consulting roles within banking or financial services.
- Familiarity with enterprise-level system architecture and integration.
