We are seeking an experienced Data Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and advanced data platforms. This role will architect integrated systems that enable predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are scalable, ethical, and aligned with strategic business objectives.

Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid — onsite 2 days/week)

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and oversee implementation ofend-to-end,data-centricand AI-driven architectures spanning data ingestion, transformation, modeling, analytics, and machine learning.
  • Identify opportunities to embed AI capabilities into business solutions for automation, personalization, and predictive insights.
  • Dataplatformdesignforscalable data platforms and pipelines supporting enterprise reporting, advanced analytics, and AI workloads.
  • Recommend tools and frameworks for data storage, processing, analytics, and AI/ML, balancing innovation with operational stability.
  • Governance & Compliance:
    Ensure adherence to data governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Work with business stakeholders, data scientists, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical architecture.
  • Lifecycle Management:
    Define best practices for MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Innovation Leadership:
    Stay current on AI and data trends, tools, and frameworks to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering, with proven success in building enterprise-grade data platforms.
  • 4+ years in AI/ML engineering with proven delivery of production-grade solutions.
  • Expertise incloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data tools (Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, system design, and cloud-native platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills for influencing technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with LLM-based assistants, RAG systems, NLP, and generative AI.
  • Familiarity with ethical AI frameworks and responsible AI practices.
  • AI-related certifications (e.g., Azure AI Engineer, AWS AI Practitioner, Certified AI Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with BI tools (Power

    BI, Tableau) and Agile product development.
  • Proven ability to present to executive leadership and drive strategic decisions.
What We Offer

At SPS Commerce, we are committed to ensuring that each employee’s compensation reflects their unique experiences, performance, and skills in their role. The salary range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more.

The annual salary range for this role is: $138,000 to $175,000 + Bonus & Equity. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.

Additionally, you may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. An incentive award, if granted, is based on individual and/or organizational performance.
