Requirements
- You must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Over 3 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and standard office software.
- Experience with Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and backup solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and a customer service focus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the capacity to swiftly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Clear and articulate communicator, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical team members.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external service providers.
- A proactive mindset to anticipate IT needs and propose process or system enhancements.
- Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tickets and projects at once.
- Provide first-line support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
- Manage helpdesk tickets and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Onboard and offboard employees, handling hardware setup, software access, and account provisioning.
- Train team members on basic IT tools, best practices, and security awareness.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and other essential systems.
- Monitor and maintain the company’s network, servers, and cloud-based applications.
- Ensure reliable backup and recovery processes are in place.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the Managed Services Provider for escalated support, cybersecurity, and system upgrades.
- Coordinate hardware and software purchases and manage vendor relationships.
- Support IT project implementation, including ERP upgrades, cloud migrations, and deployment of CAD/engineering software.
- Monitor antivirus, patch management, and endpoint security solutions.
- Collaborate with the MSP to maintain compliance with industry and customer requirements.
- Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Keep an inventory of IT assets (laptops, servers, software licenses) and oversee their lifecycle management (procurement, deployment, retirement).
