Overview

The Implementation Advocate configures and onboards new orders for Inovalon products and services, assists others as they learn new products, plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to agreed timelines. The role coordinates project efforts and manages implementation projects from scope definition through completion.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables; plan, schedule and adhere to project timelines and milestones.
  • Manage customer onboarding experience from initial intake call to go‑live, including customization, configurations and training.
  • Document customer requirements and configure applications to meet business processes.
  • Perform complex implementations with minimal supervision on multiple product projects.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, document all implementation‑project activity per defined process.
  • Resolve open orders within specified guidelines and identify beneficial product opportunities for existing customers.
  • Lead functional testing of product releases and troubleshoot complex issues, escalating as defined.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with customers; proactively manage changes in scope.
  • Provide assistance to team members, communicate product and process feedback to managers, SMEs or escalations.
  • Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, HIPAA requirements and confidentiality obligations.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience implementing or supporting software with high transaction volume.
  • Healthcare IT industry experience and knowledge of HIPAA transaction codes.
  • Knowledge of data security, healthcare EDI (ANSI X12, 835, 837, 270/271) and ability to read EDI files.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems ( preferred).
  • Experience supporting Software as a Service (SaaS) and working with Linux and Windows.
  • Strong customer service, written and verbal communication, organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment with large workload.
  • Team player who interacts effectively with all parts of the organization.
  • Project Management fundamentals and knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management.
  • Bi‑lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Sedentary work; occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
  • Frequent repetitive motions and exposure to environmental conditions.
  • Less than 5% local travel for training.
Inovalon Offers a Competitive Salary And Benefits Package

Base Compensation Range: $55,000—$78,000 USD.

The position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives. Compensation decisions are based on individual knowledge, experience, business needs and internal equity. Inovalon invests in associates to help them stay healthy, save for long‑term financial goals, and manage work and personal commitments.
