• Designing and developing large‑scale AI solutions leveraging state‑of‑the‑art techniques
• Utilizing broad and deep knowledge of machine learning and software engineering to contribute to the roadmap of Best Buy’s core AI capabilities
• Building real products that influence and enhance the lives of millions of people and drive and deliver tens of millions of dollars in impact to Best Buy’s bottom line
• Optimizing inference latency to enable real‑time ML serving for millions of Best Buy customers daily
• Working with both the ML Science and Data Engineering teams to design the training/serving data schema for input features as well as Request/Response data contracts during inference

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3 years of experience in ML/AI, data engineering, or software development
• 3 years of experience building, deploying, and serving real‑time ML/AI models with ultra‑low latency and high throughput, as resilient, scalable, cloud native services
• 2 years of experience building data engineering pipelines, ML/AI driven products or related functions (e.g., software engineering, data science)
• 2 years of Python and SQL skills
• 2 years of experience in software design, test‑driven development, and implementation using a general‑purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Scala, Rust, C++, etc.)
• Solid understanding of supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, and Gen AI

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field plus 2 years experience in ML/AI
• 5 years of professional experienceexperience with GCP, AWS, or multi‑cloud setups
• Familiarity with Tensor Flow, PyTorch, MLFlow, Vertex AI, or similar tools
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git Hub actions
• Open source contributions or a strong Git Hub portfolio
