Job SummaryThe Security Specialist is responsible for the protection of applications, computing systems, data, information, and network security. This role requires extensive knowledge of risk management, security techniques, and an understanding of network architecture, application, and database security. The Security Specialist must also be familiar with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, including the ISO 2700X series.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and manage security measures to protect applications, data, and networks.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (ISO 2700X, NIST, etc.).
- Perform security analysis, computer/data forensics, and incident response.
- Manage identity and access control measures, including authentication and authorization.
- Design and maintain secure network architectures.
- Investigate security incidents and develop incident response plans.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into systems.
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in risk management, network security, and data protection.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, regulatory compliance, and threat landscapes.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, etc.).
- Experience in security architecture and identity and access management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
- Experience in cloud security and security automation.
- Knowledge of network forensics and incident management.
