Data Management Specialist at Trellis

Trellis, a nonprofit organization in Minneapolis, MN that advocates for older adults, is seeking a full‑time Data Management Specialist (DMS) to manage and ensure data quality for the Minnesota Aging & Disability Resources and Help Me Connect websites.

Day In The Life

The DMS works with a team to maintain data for the Minnesota Aging & Disability Resources and Help Me Connect websites. They provide timely and excellent customer service to internal and external customers, and are responsible for understanding the data context to guide decision‑making for updating website content targeted at consumers.

Responsibilities
  • Manage data and ensure its quality for the aforementioned websites.
  • Problem‑solve, create, and manage data.
  • Conduct research related to data management.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Understand data context to guide decision‑making regarding website content updates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human service, English, library science, or information technology.
  • Minimum of three years of related experience, including at least one year working with databases.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and interpreting SQL database queries (a plus).
  • Knowledge of data‑driven websites, database‑based computer applications, and taxonomy used for coding data.
  • Preferred knowledge of human services, human service agencies, and government, legislative, and public policy processes (a plus).
Work Schedule
  • Hybrid role: in office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, remotely the rest of the week.
  • Business hours:
    Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
