Python Automation Engineer (Temporary 12+ mos)
The Business Automation Python Engineer will be based out of our Minneapolis, Minnesota location (Onsite) and will contribute to the Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) and support the business operational teams by developing automation that streamlines the day-to-day operations of FRFS. The Automation Engineer will work closely with operational teams to identify operational pain points and inefficiencies for operations to address.
Although there is a strong preference for the Minneapolis location, we will also consider working out of our Atlanta, Chicago or New York offices.
We are experienced Python Engineers to join our team and contribute to our Automation initiatives. Responsibilities for this position include:
- Working with subject matter experts to gather requirements for automation
- Working with automation team to develop scripts using Ansible, Splunk, and Dynatrace
- Maintaining automation documentation on standards, templates, and operational needs
- Scheduling automations using Ansible Tower or similar software
- Working with automation team to continually improve process, drive cost reduction activities and build domain knowledge

Onsite work is an essential function of this position, and you are required to be onsite according to the schedule set by your management.
Requirements:
- 5+ years automation development in Python using any automation software:
Git, Scrum, and SDLC - Prefer Ansible, Splunk, and/or Dynatrace experience
- Typically requires an Associates Degree in Information Technology or a related field
- Collaborate with IT and business contacts for successful execution
- Work as a team player
- Willingness and passion to learn
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to adapt to and succeed in a fast paced, changing environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be able to work a hybrid schedule on-site in Minneapolis, MN, or Kansas City, MO.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
