Sr. Oracle Database Administrator

Overview

This role is for a Sr. Oracle Database Administrator, a full-time consultant position located on‑site in Downtown Minneapolis, MN. The contract lasts over 6 months, offering $53–$63 per hour. It requires 8+ years of Oracle and SQLServer experience, database administration, and relevant certifications.

• Administer and maintain Oracle and SQLServer databases, ensuring optimal performance and business continuity.
• Perform database backup, recovery, and performance tuning across multiple platforms.
• Consult with IT and business teams to implement sound data management practices.
• Drive adoption of standard tools and improve data integrity across the organization.
• Provide technical expertise in data governance, architecture, and analytics.

• 8+ years of experience in database administration (Oracle and SQLServer).
• Expertise in backup/recovery, performance tuning, and high availability solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with distributed computing, data visualization, and predictive modeling.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and BI reporting solutions.

• Hands‑on experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
• SQLServer clustering and Always On Failover Cluster experience.
• Proficiency in T‑SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripting, and Power Shell.
• Experience with Postgre
  
  SQL and MySQL administration.
• SSIS package development and database replication technologies.

Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). Relevant certifications in Oracle or SQLServer administration are a plus.
