The role primarily works with curated data products delivered through Microsoft Fabric using Medallion architecture and Data Mesh principles. You will apply best practices to responsibly source, model, and curate data while ensuring solutions remain secure, reliable, and aligned with intended architecture.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, configure, and maintain applications and automation solutions using the MS Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Consume and integrate data from Microsoft Fabric, leveraging the medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers) to ensure data is reliable, timely, and actionable.
  • Build solutions that consume data products delivered via a Data Mesh approach without managing the underlying data architecture.
  • Integrate data from non‑Fabric sources when required, applying best practices to support data quality, governance, and transition to future‑state architecture.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define solution specifications, and translate them into scalable, maintainable applications.
  • Ensure applications adhere to organizational security, compliance, and governance policies.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and support deployed solutions to maintain performance and reliability.
  • Provide guidance to business users on Power Platform best practices and responsible consumption of curated data products.
  • Consult with stakeholders to design, develop, and optimize Power BI solutions using established best practices.
  • Document solutions, processes, and integration points to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of professional experience developing solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power BI.
  • Hands‑on experience consuming enterprise data, preferably from Microsoft Fabric.
  • Working knowledge of Medallion architecture concepts (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and Data Mesh principles.
  • Experience integrating multiple data sources into Power Platform solutions, including non‑Fabric or transitional data sources.
  • Solid understanding of application lifecycle management (ALM), source control, Dev Ops pipelines, and deployment practices.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with structured data.
  • Ability to apply best practices for data quality, security, and governance.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Experience working with semantic models and enterprise BI solutions; experience with SSAS (Tabular), SSIS, or OLAP cubes.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Power Apps.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, data governance, and security best practices.
  • Knowledge of API integration, connectors, and Power Platform data integration patterns.
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
Benefits
  • Medical and prescription drug plans that include no additional cost vision coverage.
  • Dental plan.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with a generous Mortenson match.
  • Paid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves.
  • Employer‑paid life, AD&D, and disability insurance.
  • No‑cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work‑life resources.
  • Tuition reimbursement.
  • Adoption assistance.
  • Gym membership discount program.
