Northmarq is seeking a Digital UX Designer in its Bloomington, MN office to improve usability, identify friction points, and define ideal user journeys and user experiences for our Digital Marketing platforms. You will have the opportunity to help us build the future of our digital platforms – our website, email marketing, and other digital customer-facing capabilities, working iteratively to deliver value to our customers and drive a common approach.

This role will work with users, product owners, marketing operations and developers to design highly usable technology experiences, and engaging digital experiences for our clients and prospective clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research to understand user needs and behaviors, and use insights to inform design decisions
  • Participate in product roadmap planning to ensure that UX practices (research, discovery, design and feedback) are incorporated into initiative timelines
  • Work with product teams to research, define and document user personas, user flows, and wireframes to communicate design concepts and drive product development
  • Lead review sessions with business operations and/or users to ensure that workflows and designs are appropriate for product teams to develop
  • Design user interfaces that are intuitive, visually appealing, and highly functional
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business partners, users, product managers, engineers, and other designers.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including story refinement and demos, to ensure that UX elements are understood and incorporated into product design
  • Lead user testing sessions to validate design decisions and iterate on designs
  • Coordinate user surveys and analysis to give measurable feedback on progress
  • Work with development teams to define libraries of reusable design components

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in computer science, design, or related discipline required
Work Experience
  • 3-5 years of User Experience development/design, or related experience
  • Experience in User Experience and User Interface research and design
