• Provide consecutive in‑person and virtual interpretation by phone and video.
• Follow interpreter protocols, procedures, policies, and confidentiality standards set by Propio L.S.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and other regulatory requirements.
• Establish and maintain quality service and positive interaction with patients, customers, visitors, healthcare providers, and clinical employees.
• Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject‑matter knowledge for various clients (medical, legal, social services, etc.).

• Updated resume in English submitted at application time.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Documentation of required vaccinations (TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B, TDAP, Seasonal Influenza, Covid).
• Successful completion of drug test and background check & security screen.
• Signed commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and HIPAA compliance.

• 1+ year interpreting experience.

• National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC)
• International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA)
• California Healthcare Interpreters Association (CHIA)
