Real Estate Attorney
Best & Flanagan LLP, a mid-sized, full-service law firm based in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking an Associate attorney to join its Real Estate Practice Group. Ideal candidates should have 3-5 years of experience working in residential and commercial real estate in a law firm, in-house, and/or with a title company. Must be licensed and in good standing with the Minnesota State Bar.
- Drafting and negotiating real estate purchase and sale agreements.
- Drafting real estate closing documents and coordinating closings on behalf of real estate buyers and sellers.
- Reviewing title commitments and surveys, preparing title objection letters, and clearing title objections.
- Reviewing and negotiating real estate loan documents, including Mortgages/Deeds of Trust, Loan Agreements, Promissory Notes, and Guaranties.
- Handling real estate-related litigation, including title-related contested cases, landlord-tenant disputes, boundary disputes, and Torrens-related matters.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial leases.
- Preparing real estate loan documents and conducting loan closings.
- Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, including AIA forms.
- Working knowledge of environmental regulatory due diligence, including Phase I ESAs and Phase II ESIs.
