Legal Invoice Analyst

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Legal Invoice Analyst for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Minneapolis, MN 55402 or Glastonbury, CT 06033. Details of the position are as follows:

• Pay: $30-32/hr
• Position will be hybrid (2 days on-site / 3 days Remote)
• Perform quality assurance reviews of legal invoice analysts’ work, ensuring accuracy and compliance with clients’ legal billing guidelines as well as correcting errors in both adjusted and non-adjusted invoice lines using expert legal judgment
• Apply specialized legal expertise to analyze invoice line items, make necessary adjustments, and document rationale for changes.
• Engage with law firms professionally to resolve appeals and disputed invoice adjustments, leveraging legal knowledge for expert-to-expert discussions while supporting the appeals mediation process by summarizing legal context, key issues, and outcomes for client review or resolution conferences.
• Provide guidance to internal business partners on opportunities and issues within the legal billing process.

• Bachelor’s degree with Juris Doctor (JD) from ABA-accredited law school is required.
• Experience communicating with law firms, handling appeal, and resolving conflicts in writing and verbally is preferred.
• Familiarity with Federal/State Rules of Civil Procedure; insurance defense or civil litigation experience is preferred.
• Experience with US or international legal invoice review is preferred.
• Experience with legal billing software like Timemetrix
  360 is preferred.
