Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced sourcing leader to strengthen our supply base and guide procurement strategy for capital equipment. This position works closely with engineering and operations teams to secure dependable, scalable, and cost-conscious supplier solutions that support manufacturing growth. The role also shapes supplier partnerships, market intelligence, and procurement practices to improve long-term performance across the organization.

Responsibilities:

- Build and execute sourcing plans for capital equipment and other essential manufacturing technologies that align with operational priorities and future expansion.

- Partner with engineering and operations stakeholders to evaluate supplier options, recommend sourcing approaches, and support equipment selection decisions.

- Research global supplier markets, pricing trends, and capacity conditions to inform purchasing strategy and reduce supply risk.

- Lead supplier identification, qualification, and onboarding efforts to establish a dependable and competitive vendor network.

- Manage strategic sourcing events, commercial negotiations, and long-term supply agreements to achieve favorable pricing and service terms.

- Monitor supplier performance, address escalations, and implement corrective actions that improve quality, delivery, and responsiveness.

- Develop strong supplier relationships that support business objectives, technical roadmaps, and continuity of supply.

- Maintain accurate procurement information in internal tools and reporting systems to support planning, compliance, and audit readiness.

- Improve sourcing processes, reporting capabilities, and best practices while advancing cost savings and broader supply chain efficiency initiatives. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

- At least 7 years of procurement or supply chain experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or similar technical environment.

- Proven success sourcing capital equipment and managing suppliers that support production operations.

- Strong ability to assess supplier proposals, cost structures, and market dynamics using sound analytical judgment.

- Demonstrated expertise in negotiating complex commercial terms, pricing models, and supply contracts.

- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners.

- Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving and growing business.

- Experience creating should-cost models and using them to guide sourcing and negotiation decisions.
