Summary
The Production Manager will oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production workflows, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement, managing cross-functional teams, and meeting production goals in alignment with strategic objectives.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage production teams across multiple shifts to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targets
- Develop and implement production schedules, resource plans, and workflow optimization strategies
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve production issues and improve processes
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to build a high-performance culture
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure material availability
- Support new product introductions and process validations
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in production management, preferably in a regulated or technical manufacturing environment
- MUST come from Industrial, welding, metal fabrication experience
- MUST have strong Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S/5 WHY experience
- Experience with A3 Methodology
- Proven track record of implementing lean principles and driving operational excellence
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems and production planning tools
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage change effectively
- Six Sigma Green Belt or higher strongly preferred
