Production Planner

We are looking for an experienced Production Planner to streamline scheduling activities, ensuring timely fulfillment of customer requirements while boosting operational efficiency. This role involves data-driven analysis to refine planning workflows, managing material availability, and partnering across departments to resolve challenges and support sales and operations planning initiatives.

• Assess material availability and workload to provide accurate delivery commitments.
• Develop and maintain optimized production schedules, tracking progress throughout.
• Collaborate with operations teams to troubleshoot issues and respond to customer inquiries.
• Initiate and coordinate corrective measures for production-related problems.
• Keep records current, review demand forecasts, and process order modifications or cancellations.
• Identify surplus or obsolete inventory, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Design and execute strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Work closely with procurement on material lead times and with planning teams to set schedules and sequencing priorities.
• Address capacity constraints and resolve equipment or quality concerns.
• Improve accuracy of promised delivery dates for customized products across multiple production streams.

• Expertise in production planning and scheduling
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles
• Hands-on experience with ERP and MRP systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, materials management, or related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years in production planning or a comparable role
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and material flow
• CPIM certification is a plus

This is a Permanent position based out of Coon Rapids, MN.

The pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - $/yr.
