Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Production Planner to streamline scheduling activities, ensuring timely fulfillment of customer requirements while boosting operational efficiency. This role involves data-driven analysis to refine planning workflows, managing material availability, and partnering across departments to resolve challenges and support sales and operations planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Assess material availability and workload to provide accurate delivery commitments.
- Develop and maintain optimized production schedules, tracking progress throughout.
- Collaborate with operations teams to troubleshoot issues and respond to customer inquiries.
- Initiate and coordinate corrective measures for production-related problems.
- Keep records current, review demand forecasts, and process order modifications or cancellations.
- Identify surplus or obsolete inventory, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Design and execute strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Work closely with procurement on material lead times and with planning teams to set schedules and sequencing priorities.
- Address capacity constraints and resolve equipment or quality concerns.
- Improve accuracy of promised delivery dates for customized products across multiple production streams.
- Expertise in production planning and scheduling
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles
- Hands-on experience with ERP and MRP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, materials management, or related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years in production planning or a comparable role
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and material flow
- CPIM certification is a plus
This is a Permanent position based out of Coon Rapids, MN.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - $/yr.
