. We are currently recruiting for a Day Shift Laminator Operator for our Minneapolis, MN plant.
Sign‑on Bonus: $2,000
Schedule:
Monday‑Thursday 6:00 am‑4:30 pm
$26.06/yr - $26.59/yr (range provided by Hood Packaging Corporation; actual pay will be based on skills and experience).
Responsibilities- Read schedule and all supervisor instructions before beginning setup cycle.
- Comply with general plant safety requirements, including lockout/tagout, safe lifting, material handling practices, and personal protective equipment.
- Move product in and out of the work area; operators must be certified to operate forklift/clamp truck.
- Setup and run the laminator at optimum speed, maintaining quality product per assigned schedule.
- Inspect paper/poly before and after each set to assure quality per SOP.
- Follow written quality procedures such as recycling cores, poly seals, and dyne levels.
- Inspect machine during the shift and notify management of any minor or major equipment failure.
- Ensure full compliance with safety and housekeeping; communicate all pertinent information to relief during shift change. Assist in ensuring HACCP, GMPs, work instructions, JSA, and SQF requirements are met.
- Repetitively lift and carry up to 50 lbs. using proper equipment.
- Visually inspect rolls for quality and/or correct labeling.
- Climb, crawl, and bend over/under equipment to make necessary machine control adjustments.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Communicate orally, in writing, and via computer to fulfill job orders.
- Have good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to perform the above activities.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to use simple arithmetic and fractions within ¼ inch.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
