Key Responsibilities
  • Perform functional testing, calibration, and repair of assemblies and sub-assemblies; train others to perform these duties.
  • Verify assemblies and sub-assemblies are tested and calibrated to latest engineering specifications using revision test procedures, schematics, and prints; contribute to creating or editing technical processes for testing and troubleshooting.
  • Repair defective assemblies or sub-assemblies to component level; perform rework in compliance with current quality standards.
  • Accurately generate and maintain data for repaired assemblies and sub-assemblies to improve processes and product quality.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities, root causes, and verification of corrective actions; conduct experiments to test corrective actions.
  • Use ACE tools to identify root causes of failures and measure the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Load and monitor product run-in areas; assist Production Engineering with design, assembly, and repair of test fixtures; identify fixtures that improve troubleshooting.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining test procedures; maintain department procedures in LOS database.
  • Provide technical support to other areas to meet production and shipment schedules; ensure production lines run smoothly with test equipment and minimal first-pass failures.
  • Assist manufacturing engineering with analytical software (Excel, Minitab) for experiments; design, execute, and analyze basic experiments and document results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with testing, calibration, and/or repair of electronic assemblies or devices
Preferred Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly prints, and technical procedures
  • Proficiency with electronic test equipment (digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, voltmeters)
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing PCBs to component level
  • Willingness to support and/or lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Proven ability to identify improvement opportunities through data collection and root cause analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and analytical software tools
  • Experience designing and conducting experiments with clear, documented results
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience using email and web-based training tools
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and present data through statistical and graphical analysis
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in high-stress situations
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
