Production Compounder, Production - 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift

Description

Formulator positions could be on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift at our manufacturing facility in New Hope, MN. These roles require proficiency in performing most formulation functions within Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) or Life Science Solutions (LSS).

All shifts pay $26.00–$31.00 per hour based on skills, experience, and qualifications. 2nd shift includes an extra $1.75 per hour; 3rd shift an extra $2.25 per hour.

• 1st shift: 6am‑2pm Mon‑Fri
• 2nd shift: 2pm‑10pm Mon‑Fri
• 3rd shift: 10pm‑6am Sun‑Thurs

• Prepares batches of raw materials for production processing according to specifications and established procedures.
• Ensures formulation operations are efficient and effective (RFT) for manufacturing and documentation and that no known defect is passed to upstream processes.
• Performs efficient and effective set‑ups, cleaning, and changeovers.
• Obtains materials from inventory and accurately weighs using scales or automated equipment; cleanses and sanitises processing equipment, tanks, filters, pipes, lines, and pumps.
• Follows hazardous‑material handling and PPE requirements when applicable.
• Trains and coaches others, personally follows SOP, cGMP, DEA, and safety compliance; identifies and communicates compliance, safety, or quality issues to next level; performs in‑process quality procedures.
• Completes all documentation or logbooks accurately and in accordance with GMP.
• Ensures 5S is applied in the area of responsibility and participates trains others in monthly quality and PASS audits.
• Participates or leads investigations and continuous improvement initiatives regarding quality, safety, productivity, and cost, and other duties as assigned by department.
• Ensures personal training is up‑to‑date in the learning management system.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong math aptitude (calculations, percentages).
• Previous production knowledge and experience.
• Proficient in executing right‑the‑first‑time batch records, logbooks, and other documentation in compliance with good documentation practices.
• Excellent attendance and work history.
• Computer proficiency.

• Physical requirements:
  
  must be able to stand on concrete floors for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs frequently; ascend or descend stepladders; be able to push or pull up to 1200 lbs; stoop, squat, and bend; reach laterally regularly, and overhead occasionally; frequently grasp objects; wear negative or positive PPE (dust mask, PAPRs) daily for long periods; possess sufficient visual and audio acuity to work safely and correctly;
  
  clear respirator use; medically cleared to wear respirators without restrictions.
• Other requirements: required to follow SOP, GMP, and safety/housekeeping guidelines; possess knowledge and skills to lead continuous improvement initiatives and quality investigations; can work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
