CNC Milling/Lathe Machine Lead-Weekend Day Shift

ARCH in Minneapolis is seeking a CNC Milling/Lathe Machine Lead to coach and develop machinists while remaining hands‑on on the weekend day shift. The role focuses on work assignment, issue resolution, training, safety reporting, production scheduling, and operating a variety of CNC machines.

• Lead production in CNC Milling/Lathe areas and communicate with shifts.
• Manage daily priorities and assign work to maintain optimal flow.
• Participate in daily production and GEMBA meetings.
• Monitor machinist productivity and ensure correct machining processes.
• Plan and coordinate workflow with other departments and scheduling.
• Support company policies, resolve issues, and collaborate with the Leadership Team.
• Interview and evaluate applicants for vacant positions.
• Set up and operate a variety of CNC equipment to produce components.
• Lead process improvement and productivity improvement efforts.
• Ensure QA inspections, labor entry, and safety documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized department.

• High school diploma or GED.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• At least 5 years machining experience and 2 years supervisory experience.
• Contract manufacturing experience desirable.
• Fast paced work environment ability.
• ERP system and Microsoft Office experience.
• Read blueprints, use micrometers, calipers, and QA gauges.
• Set up and operate machine tools.
• Program machine tools.

Sign‑On Bonus: $3,000

Pay Scale: $35 – $40 per hour

Hours: Friday – Monday (10‑hour shifts Friday–Sunday; 6‑hour Monday morning)
