CNC Set Up Vertical Mill Machinist – Day Shift

Pay Range: $25+, depending on experience. Medical, Dental & Vision effective day one. Competitive 401(k) with employer match and other benefits.

Produces machined parts by setting up, programming, and operating a Mill computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment.

• Set up parts in CNC machines without assistance or supervision
• Change tools, adjust heights and tool comps to maintain required quality output of machine
• Inspect products during the machining operation to determine if parts meet specifications
• Follow all job work order instructions
• Run more than one machine where cycle time permits
  
  Complete all required shop floor documentation for the job, including part dimensional and visual inspection
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshoot malfunctions; report need for machine repairs
• Understand and comply with company policy safety guidelines, quality systems requirements and housekeeping standards

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience setting up CNC Mill machine tools
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, due to contractual requirements

• Experience editing CNC machine programs and writing basic programs
• Ability to read and understand blueprints including GD&T tolerancing
• Strong math background
• Demonstrated problem solving ability
  
  Strong attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Continuous mental and visual attention required. Ability to stand for a shift, sit, talk, and hear. Lifting up to 40 pounds required. Exposure to manufacturing areas where temperature may vary; personal protective equipment required.
