Senior Marketing Manager, US Commercial Marketing, Hip Solutions

Smith+Nebhew is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager, US Commercial Marketing – Hip Solutions to join the US Commercialization team. This role will provide strategic leadership across the US Hip Solutions portfolio, driving downstream marketing strategies that enable sustained revenue growth in a highly competitive orthopedic reconstructive market.

The Senior Marketing Manager will lead planning and execution of comprehensive US commercial marketing initiatives, partnering closely with Sales, Sales Leadership, Medical Education, Sales Training, Global Marketing, Supply Chain, and US Leadership to deliver commercial excellence across the hip portfolio. The ideal candidate brings strong marketing acumen, proven people leadership, and deep orthopedic industry knowledge.

This is a highly visible role with significant internal and external engagement.

What will you be doing?

Lead development and execution of US commercial marketing strategies aligned with Smith+Nebhew business and growth objectives across the Hip Solutions portfolio.

Own and drive go-to-market (GtM) strategies for assigned product lines, including promotions, medical education, digital marketing, channel readiness, and inventory planning.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of marketing professionals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.

Develop deep expertise in the US hip reconstruction market, including customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics.

Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the US hip portfolio. Support annual operating plan (AOP) and long-range business planning processes.

Partner closely with Sales leadership to support targeting strategies, physician engagement, and field-driven insights to inform marketing decisions.

Collaborate with Pricing to develop and execute effective pricing and value strategies.

Partner with Demand, Supply, and Operations teams to develop and maintain accurate product forecasts.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and unmet needs.

Oversee development of high-impact marketing materials, campaigns, and content that clearly articulate product value propositions.

Provide commercial and technical product support to the field and internal teams to drive adoption, conversion, and customer satisfaction.

Support industry educational programs, customer labs, national sales meetings, and key strategic events.

What will you need to be successful?

Bachelor’s degree required;
Marketing, Business, or related field preferred (technical degrees considered with demonstrated commercial competency).

Proven experience managing both mature product portfolios and new product launches. Strong track record of developing and executing successful downstream marketing strategies and campaigns.

Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.

Deep understanding of the orthopedic and reconstructive market, including key customers and competitors.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, assess campaign performance, and inform pricing and portfolio decisions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.

Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex commercial challenges.

Highly collaborative, with the ability to influence without direct authority.

Confident communicator able to present effectively to audiences at all organizational levels. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Hands‑on leader willing to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
