Working Conditions:
Crosstown Young Life includes high school and middle school ministries in Richfield, collaborating with local churches. This full-time role is suited for someone with ministry experience. Salary ranges from $46,000 to $52,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
Job Summary:In collaboration with the Area Director, and through spiritual leadership and management, implement actions to fulfill Young Life’s mission of introducing kids to Jesus Christ and nurturing their faith. Recruit, train, and deploy others to support effective ministry.
Key Ministry Functions:Spiritual Development
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan fostering a vibrant spiritual life, including prayer, reflection, and Bible study.
- Maintain active participation in a church community.
- Engage in the spiritual life of the Young Life community.
- Lead teams and individuals in spiritual growth.
- Ensure all ministry activities are rooted in prayer and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Assist in casting vision for reaching every kid in the area.
- Facilitate regular gatherings for leaders and staff to promote unity and vision.
- Develop spiritual leadership plans for volunteers and staff.
- Supervise, evaluate, and develop leaders, providing necessary resources.
- Coordinate summer staff, work crews, and adult guests for camps.
- Model excellence in all contact work and ministry activities.
- Train leaders and teams in ministry strategies.
- Manage part of the local budget according to TDS principles.
- Support fundraising strategies and donor communication.
- Build the Young Life brand through public relations.
- Coordinate impactful events to engage resources.
- Engage actively in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camps.
- Lead or co-lead a Young Life club and oversee Campaigners ministry.
- Evaluate local schools and ministries annually.
- Develop plans to maximize Gospel proclamation through camping.
- Participate in summer assignments at Young Life properties or camps.
- Follow all policies and maintain professionalism.
- Manage finances responsibly and transparently.
- Maintain accurate records of kids, leaders, and donors.
- Communicate professionally and promptly.
- Set and review yearly strategic plans.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- College degree preferred.
- Must have completed Core Training — Phase One.
- Strong relational skills with kids and adults.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
