OverviewDaVita is hiring a Registered Nurse to serve our dialysis patients and help manage our clinical teams at our Minneapolis Uptown Dialysis Center in Minneapolis, MN.
Dialysis experience not required. We will train you!
- Operational hours: MWF 5:00 AM - 6:00 PM / TTHS 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Schedule:
Work 3‑4 days/week, 10‑12 hrs/day (every other Saturday, closed on Sundays!) - Extensive training:
First 9‑12 weeks of employment, group and 1:1 hands‑on training - Growth opportunities:

- Paid training
- Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic
- Float to various clinics during and after your training
- You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- 30%:
Supervises and performs direct patient care including vital signs, initiation and termination of dialysis, documentation, physical assessments, transcription of physician orders, and lab work. - 20%:
Provides dialysis therapy—including formulating dialysis plans per physician orders, weight/rate of ultrafiltration, verifying safety measures, administering medications, discontinuing dialysis per procedure, and documenting activity. - 20%:
Analyzes assessments, laboratory data, and when concerns arise, brings issues to the physician; communicates emergencies and life‑threatening complications to supervisors and directors. - 15%:
Assesses patient and family learning readiness and provides education on renal disease, dialysis treatment, and medical regimen; participates in development and implementation of patient care plans and monthly progress notes.
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); or a three‑year diploma from an accredited program may substitute. - Experience in ICU, CCU, ER, or Med Surg is helpful but not required.
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) is a plus.

- Current RN license in state of practice.
- CPR certification and basic EKG interpretation.
- 2+ years’ experience with acutely ill patients (ICU, ER, Med/Surg preferred).
- Strong assessment, time‑management, and communication skills.
- CNN certification is a plus.
